The brighter side

The year "2011" has been an eye opener for some of us. A lot of unexpected things happened especially in the last quarter of the year. The super typhoon "Sendong" that hit Northern Mindanao and left those who were affected with nothing but the clothes they wore that day, both young and old, rich and the middle class weren't an exception. My heart was crushed seeing innocent lives taken out from the mud and flooded streets. I felt the pain and shocked of the families that lost their loved ones.

Some people may have questioned God as to why it happened. Everything happens for a reason; no one or nothing is  permanent in this world. So long as we are still alive we should serve a purpose and that is to do good and be good. When our time is up there's no way for us to stop it. One should also realize that one of the reasons why natural calamities can be very destructive is because we abuse nature and the environment.

In spite all of this, we should look at the Bright side of life...after every storm is a rainbow. We should learn from past experiences,  change for the better, be productive and take advantage of all the good opportunities that will come our way. If else fail,  don't put a blame on other people or our government leaders.  We should start to deal with ourselves first and our home.
