Life begins at 40

As the saying goes...Age is just a number. We have to celebrate life everyday. There should be no pressure (maybe a little pressure to look good- Aging like fine wine 😍) We should look at it as a challenge to live a life with a purpose. It may sound cliche', but striving to live a more fruitful and meaningful life should be a goal. Go out of your comfort zone, doing simple things like changing your hairstyle, hair color, sign-up for a gym membership, yoga/dance class, travel to a place where you haven't been before. Or be on a more adventurous side like go mountain climbing, scuba diving, parasailing, zip lining, sky diving (may sound too extreme) etc.., constantly challenging yourself is not a bad idea. You do things not because you want to impress people around you..it should be about you, yourself and not for someone else. For a stay-at-home-mom like me, it is kind of impossible to do extreme adventures at the moment, but I am not closing my doors. The right time will

Moving on..

The entertainment industry is like a circus. It is very colorful and intriguing– Of course! Anyway, I will not talk about showbiz like what's happening in the Philippine showbiz these days. But for the benefit of those who are not following the relationship hiatus of Gerald Anderson-Bea Alonzo-Julia Baretto– better google if you're interested 😄. Enough said..I will move on to writing my real story now 😍. Our family have been kind of busy here in the Philippines. It's " kind of " because we are not really doing a lot of super fun things as of the moment since we are on a budget. It is not bad to admit that we are on a budget- who's not? maybe for those with kids can relate to us 😍. For one, we are renting a house (15k/month + utilities). Compared to our expenses in the US , it is way more affordable here in the Philippines though it is a win-win situation. SACS (Saint Alphonsus Catholic School) Day 2011

Finally, after 15 long years of not being able to attend my alma mater's day. I was able to witness the event again last July 30th, 2011. The event was a long week celebration and it normally starts every 1st of August, but it started early because July 30th was a weekend and so that working parents can attend. All students from elementary to secondary level had their shot of performance. Witnessing the event brought back a lot of memories both fun and not so good ones : ). I have spent 10 years of my life that I consider one of the biggest factor of who I am today in SACS (Saint Alphonsus Catholic School). I grew up with the benedictine rule's motto "ora et labora" (pray and work). The family values taught in school was the greatest education I've ever learned.
